JSWHDS is a fully open access journal. All published articles are freely available online immediately upon publication, with no subscription fees, paywalls, or registration requirements for readers anywhere in the world. Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. The journal charges no article processing fees. Open access publication is supported by the University of Mindanao in recognition that social welfare research has the greatest impact when it reaches practitioners, communities, and policymakers without barriers.
